We love a good political poem here. I think this work is fantastic honestly. Who would’ve thought there were so many analogies to current times within these old poems! It’s almost like we read them for a reason or something lol. Anyway, I’d just like to say that I really love this poem. I think that by never explicitly talking about one person in particular, you’ve made a piece worth a bit of discussion, which could easily make a lot of people sit back and reflect on their own politics and the politics of those they look up to. Hopefully, at least. Some politicians are certainly quite analogous to Milton’s Satan, which is somehow both kind of cool and kind of horrifying. Great stuff!
